Notice how the ladies have their right hand across their body to hold the gentleman`s right.
This is very different to today.
The A H Hawke postcard dated Flora Day 1924 reads:
“Can you find me taking the lead with J. Clifton in the morning & F. Blake in the eve. had a good time. see if you can make them all out…… Curnow at back…….
love Olive xxxxx”
Note that there are very few dancers compared to today!
