Ratcliffes Lane

Familiarly known as “RATCLIFFES LANE” it was the main highway between St. John`s and Porthleven before the Porthleven Hill road was constructed. A family of the same name occupied an attractive house overlooking the present Coronation Park and Lake but according to my Grandfather it should have been named “Penventon Lane”!
